Learning to learn revisited             Learning to learn revisited: Computers and the development of self-directed learning skills an article by Lieberman, D. A., & Linn, M. C. (1991), has great insight on educational software that focuses on self-directing learning. The author Debra A. Lieberman. Ph.D. is someone to admire and take into high regard. Summarize the blog creation process

Image
When I started my blogs it was something I was not familiar with, but I did have an idea of what it was.  When I would view a friend’s blog, it was to see what insight or information they were sharing.  After looking into how to create a blog, it became even more interesting.        My google account was used and it was simple to sign up to the blog creator.  Once it was installed on my laptop, I was surprised how simple it looked.  The orange-red button to create a new post was easy to see. Once clicked on a simple sheet of paper appeared, looking like any writing program I have seen, with editing options on top and to the right.  There is a orange radio button the create a new post. Creating a new post is where the difficulties started because of the options it has and learning new skills. I began experimenting with the option on top of the layout page. Here is where the foundation of the blog one post is formed.  In this instant, all started.

Instructional technology - Multimedia

Image
Hello fellow bloggers, Welcome to one of my assignments where I will be sharing a introductory comment on a instructional technology.  The instructional technology I chose promotes active learning, multimedia learning.   Active learning can be done without technology, but with multimedia technology the students get a deep comprehension on what is being thought.   The students is given a interactive programs that will give the learner information where there is multifaceted examples of what is being taught. Here is a great read: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0959475202000166 science/article/pii/S0959475202000166

About me

Image
I was born in California and have five siblings. One of the eldest and a female amongst mostly brothers, responsibilities were thrusted upon me.    Culturally I was the second mother, so it meant that part of my role was to be a teacher.   The youngest is 14 years younger and raising him was one of my fondest accomplishment.   I was busy with my 3 young brothers more so with the youngest who is 14 years younger than me. My siblings are part of who I am, the happiest part and the saddest part.   I resided in California, Sweden, Mexico, and presently I am in Texas.   I was also very involved in volunteering in church and have been a catechism teacher. There has always been a deep fondness for teaching another person something unknown and being useful to them. I am currently a trainer at a financial institution.  I have a few interests that I have limited time for.   One will be doing more physical training and volunteering.   Second is art, I enjoy to drawing and painting. Defend yourself

Image
In honor of  Women History Month and I like to talk about a subject that I advocate for.  Self defense, can be the difference between extreme bodily harm to minor bodily harm to one self.  It is always a frightening thought that one can easily be a victim .  There are preventions we can take. Always be aware of your surroundings Keep you distractions to a minimum Distance yourself from dark areas Out and about bring a friend Let a trusted person know your whereabouts Walk with confidence                              ME! I have taken defense course for a number of years.  There are high number of lovely women I have come across that have taken these course for different reasons. The ability to build self confidence and empower the individual is amazing and heart warming.  It also reinforces that one only will truly get better with practice and repeating the moves one learns. In the long run the benefit far outweigh its disadvantage.
